Seattle,
So I was just diagnosed. In July I am 3 weeks out from my 1st 8 weeks remicade treatment (no4) today I am starting to feel the arthritis and joint pain creep back in my elbows
Is this how it works start feeling not so great then I have treatment and it gets better when I had my flare up and was diagnosed the joint pain was horrible I felt like I was 90 years old and could barely walk
I am concerned bc I am on vacation one week before my next treatment
I don't want to feel bad on vacation
I am no longer on presidone
thanks

It could be that your schedule is too far apart. Some can do 8 weeks but many have to go to a shorter schedule other higher dose. It's all about tweaking the med to find the right dose!schedule for you.

Also joint pain is a common EIM(extra intestinal manifestation) of CD but there are different types. Some run concurrent with active CD flares and others run independent of the flare.

My son has JSpA juvenile spondyloarthropathy which runs independent.

So his rheumatologist and GI work toget her to ensure the dose and schedule of his treatment are effective for both his CD and his joint issues.
