Reading through posts on here, I'm reminded of the fightclub quote where the narrator's doctor tells him to swing by the testicular cancer support group if he wants to talk about real pain. A lot of you have it way worse than I do; I feel incredibly lucky on more than one front after hearing some of your stories....

I still get to vent though :p

My doctor just told me surgery is probably my best option at this point. So tomorrow I have to explain to my boss at my new job of only 6 weeks, that I'm going to be out for 2-3 weeks (or however long resection recovery takes). I kind of feel relief in that I don't think they can legally fire me or drop my insurance, but at the same time I can't help but think that this job is doomed and I'm going to be settling for lackluster work for the sake of health insurance a few months from now.

basically, it sucks.

Hopefully the people there are more supportive than you realize, and you can come back in better health and show them how productive you can be. I understand the feeling completely though. It seemed like anytime I started a new job I would flare, and I hated having that conversation with them so soon into the job. Good luck with the surgery!

Thanks, yeah they seem to be very understanding so I think it will work out. I know, its soooo stressful switching jobs, I'm really second guessing the decision now. But I think I've made a strong impression in the short time I have been here and it's gonna go a long way for me. thanks again
