Saw my GI today, and now have a course of action. She is thinking it has been simmering for a long time and has finally decided to make itself known. She apologized for making me wait so long but she had to be sure. Well the scan I had the beginning of October showed it without a doubt. Because of where it is (Terminal Ileum) and how fast it decided to rear its ugly head, I am being set up for Remicade infusions. She wants to go in with guns blazing, and squash it as fast as we can. She is also prescribing Imuran to help get remission as fast as we can. She is a fan of top down approach, and doesn't want me to end up having to have more surgery. I should hear from the bioadvance rep on Monday, and I also have to go and be a lab rat and get a million tests. I'm a little overwhelmed right now, but hoping this will help :)

It's worked wonders for me. I wish it was available when I was first diagnosed.

Hoping the best.

It's not the best news but sometimes just having a name to put on our suffering is a relief because it helps us know how to treat it. Sounds like you are in great hands with a GP willing to fight for you and a GI who doesn't mess around. I hope you find remission quickly.
