Hi. I was diagnosed with UC in 2006, had symptoms for many years previous. In 2009 i had a rectal abcess and developed a fistulla. Now im diagnosed with crohns.Tried a variety of drugs, anti-inflamitories, prednisone, ect ect. Been on remicade for a little over a year now with no serious side effects, minor ones like sore muscles joints, rashes, some fatigue, irritability. I work in construction so crohns symptoms for me are hard to accommodate, hard to come down off a roof every 5 mins for a bathroom break. Remicade has definately helped me.:ysmile:

Hi Kenny and welcome! I am glad Remicade is working for you. It apparently does well with healing abcesses and fistulas. You may want to check out the Remicade club to connect with others on the same treatment.

I hope you continue to do well!

Hi Kenny and welcome!

I'm glad the Remicade is working well for you :) Out of curiosity, do you have any active disease anywhere besides your colon?

All my best to you!

HI Kenny, and welcome to the forum. i am glad the remicade is working for see you around the forum. best wishes.

Hi Kenny, I too take remicade and found it has helped, maybe not as much as I was hoping, but still it helps. Welcome to this site. Here you can find support and guidance. There are some kind and caring people on this site. Hope you find it helps you.

Hi again. Thanks for all your responses. This is a great site some good info here. I don't have any other active diseases, but now reading thru the forum I'm discovering some things like nasal sores, eye irritation, rashes are common. Takes a little stress off. One thing I did notice when I started taking remicade the muscle tightness in my shoulders and lower back that I would wake up with every morning has completely disappeared. So a positive side effect. Anyways thanks for the great site, keep up the good work.
