Its back yet again

Hi all, glad to see this wonderful service thriving still after so long.

So let me tell you what's been happening. Within the past eleven years I've had relentless severe active crohns disease. Having lost all of my large bowel then open surgery for an AP resection in Nov 2015. I started feeling all the active symptoms again about four weeks ago, having had a small taste of freedom for 10 months. :yfaint: Bloods and Faecal Calprotectin all significantly elevated from the ileostomy. So, back on high doses of prednisolone again and so scared now as all previous meds have failed. I've no idea what my prognosis will be as the my Consultant and I thought the small intestine might escape this dreadful disease. Is there anyone else that's been/is in this situation, i could really use some support right now.

So sorry to hear , hopefully the high pred will start to work soon , dont give up hope , I havent been in anything like your situation , but 4 days ago I had nearly given up hope but today I'm a lot better after high doses of iv steroids and antibiotics ,sending lots of support your way .
