Hello everyone :)
I was wondering if anyone has really bad joint pain in their hands? Sometimes I can't pick things up without the possibility of dropping it.

Arthritis is common with crohns. Today my right wrist and elbow are killing me. Joint pain can be a sign your crohns is active and no longer in remission.

When you say wrists have you looked into carpal tunnel? I have joint pain in my legs mainly but also have carpal tunnel from excessive typing.

Theres a chance it can be carpal tunnel but if you are having joint point it most likely can be RA aka rheumatoid arthritis

"Arthritis, or inflammation of the joints, is the most common extraintestinal complication of IBD. It may affect as many as 25% of people with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. Although arthritis is typically associated with advancing age, in IBD it often strikes the youngest patients. In addition to joint pain, arthritis also causes swelling of the joints and a reduction in flexibility."

I'm with you. I've been up since 2am. The pain has been awful. I've been in tears part of the time. Peeked out the window and discovered snow. Should've known. I love snow but my body now hates the weather change.

I've got physical therapy later today so I'll just have to suck it up and give PT my all.

Hugs to all who've had a rough night for whatever reason.

Newbie here.

Yep. Again, I am "undiagnosed" at this time, but I have inexplicable pain in my hands, and in my feet. It's actually "between the joints", and gets my right side much worse than my left.

So bad! What do you do for it Besides cry?

I have joint pain in hands and drop things a lot. I did not have this before I started the Imuran. Seeing consultant on Thursday so will see what he says. There is always a new and exciting symptom with this disease.:confused2:

I've dropped plenty of things at home and at work :/ warm baths seem to keep my joints pretty happy. However when it's cold outside omg.... The pain is terrible! Sometimes gloves don't help :/

I'm looking forward to an ultrasound scan of my wrists, and possible steroid injections into the tendons. Had bad wrist pain for around 17 months now. I wear splints on both wrists when driving or using the computer, which helps. Had nerve conduction studies, which ruled out carpal tunnel, and had steroid injections to bath the carpal area which didn't help. Physio just aggravates it more.

My Crohns is in remission, so I a a little fed up with all this other rubbish we have to deal with !

My daughter has crohns and a long list of health issues. She is dissabke and has a hard time communicating what she feels. She ahs complained about her feet and or hands "itching" cries untill it eases up after about 30-40 minutes. Just last week she said her hand was "burning" a few different times. It took about 30-40 minutes before it eased up. Anyone ever get this kind of feeling and could it be crohns related?
