I had the final step of my surgery last February and I have been living with a jpouch since. Everything is good apart form one thing. Almost every time I sleep I have a LOT of leakage. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and if so what can help stop it. My doctor isn't doing much to help me. Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Mark. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying life with the jpouch. We are looking to have our reversal in mid December, and have been doing doing alot of research in advance to help prepare us.

One thing that seems to be a common issue is anal leaking at night time. I also just recently came across a video that explained that sleeping on your side leaves your anal muscles more relaxed, and suggest sleeping on the back or stomach may alleviate some of the leakage.

Here is a link to some very informative videos. I hope you can find some answers here and get relief for your symptoms.

I dont have that problem that much. Are your bowels too loose maybe talk to dr about what u can take to thicken it up. Try eating peanut butter an hour before bed.
