Hey everyone,
So I just got out of hospital. It was awful I hate being there. I ended up going because I had a sudden severe pain in my upper abdomen and vomited blood. I went to hospital and they said I had gi bleeding, was admitted and had various ultrasounds/sonograms and CT done, which on top of what I had they also found that I had a hemmoragic cyst on one of my ovaries and also they found a mass in my uterus. I was given IV treatments and PPI and Morphine and also had my Asacol while I was there. It seemed to help but now Im still having diarrhea and pain. I wasn't able to eat much and still can't. I tried eating a little but its very painful. I was wondering if anyone has had problems in the upper gi region? I am going for a EGD in a few days and seeing my doctor tomorrow. I had a lot of terribly painful exam , including a rectal exam from a very mean doctor. IT HURT SO BAD!!!!!! anyways... I am home now and glad to be.
It seems like clear fluids is best but I lost about 5 pounds while in the hospital and hope I can get better soon. Does anyone have advice on whats best to eat during this type of problem? I tried soup but hot liquids and even very cold liquids hurt. I tried eating some solids but it seems like it makes my stomach pain and diarrhea worse.
Have any of the women out there had Gyn problems? I am going for a follow and I might need surgery. I hope not though.
Hope everyone out there is good and feeling better. Thanks for reading.
All the best,
Ceci
