I saw another thread a while ago about logging bm's. My daughter's doctor asked us to log until her next appt in Oct. She told us to keep a book by the toilet, so she can write everything down. I would like to have something printed out, so she can just put check marks in. Any ideas? I know I will have date, hard, soft, blood, mucus... I know I am probably forgetting something though. Any ideas would be appreciated :) Thank you
Today is also day 1 of being milk free.. :sign0085:

What about amount/how much? I actually use a little planner book for my son's info where I log the information you listed along with the time of day. This is also a place where I can make notes about when he gets his MTX shot and Remi infusions. If he is on steroids I mark it in the planner the day he starts the med and then make notes as he tapers. When he did EN I would make note of days he had off. This planner has been a life saver for me! I take it to all his doctor appts.

Hope you find something that works for you!

I don't know how to use Excel. I have it on my computer, but there are way too many boxes and I don't know how to take them out. I was hoping to do it that way, but I can't figure it out lol

Thank you Shelley, I made one up for now. I have Date, Hard, Normal, Soft, watery, blood, mucus, pain and other.

I would also add if there is pain, what it is like, when it occurs and how long it lasts. Also how long is spent on the toilet and if she is straining.

I know this might sound sick but.................I've been told pictures are great also.
Grace's GI nurse had me send one e-mail.

lol Its funny you would mention pics because I've often thought it would be easier to show them a pic, but thought that might sound nuts! lol I am an amateur photographer though and take pics of almost everything.
I just finished taking a dozen pics of her tongue. She has a huge ulcer and another one starting. :( This poor kid can't catch a break.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I uploaded my log into google drive (it was then google docs) complete with pictures and references to food.

It was a huge help for us and my GI didn't blink when we showed him. He actually pointed out things we didn't realize - blood colors, etc.
