My pregnancy is over! Madeleine arrived by scheduled Cesarean on 12/18/08 at 12:33 pm @ OSU medical center. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and she's 20 inches long..... and she's the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on (of course lol).
So far things are coming along nicely... no noticable effects on her from the Humira as far as we know. She's healthy as a horse and has a great appetite. I'm breastfeeding most of the time but we have occasionally given her some formula during the times she is having a hard time latching to the breast (or I need a break because I'm exhausted and my boobs need a break). She has VERY healthy bowels! YIPPEEEE!!!! She has been passing gas and filling diapers left and right.
Anyway, As far as my recover... I'm sore as hell and tired alot but everytime I hold her the pain becomes the farthest thing from my mind. I'm due to take my next dose of Humira tomorrow and the docs say 'go ahead and take it' so we will see what, if any, effect it has on my bowels and recovery time.
Hope everyone is feeling as elated as I am and having a wonderful holiday!!!
