Hi all Its been a while -
Amy is now 11 diagnosed in 2010 injecting herself every week with 17.5mg of methotrexate been on this for six months and doing so so well but recently over last few has started to feel so tired vomiting appetite poor .Has anybody else experienced this she has started to develop a bit and I really want her to grow and go into puberty. Hoping to get bloods done later today to see if maybe she just has tummy bug ( but the signs look like a flare uo) also she has to take a test to get into grammar school and I am really concerned that stress is the real trigger!( have tried to talk her out of sitting the test as I think she will do regardless but she wants to do it and her sister goes to that school

Thoughts would be welcome !
thanks

Hi there,
I was on Methotrexate for some months too but I eventually came off it I had hair loss and felt very squeamish a lot of the time. So your daughters sickness could be caused by the treatment, it does not always happen at the beginning of treatment I eventually had to go on to Infliximab infusions, and am well now. We are all individuals in our reactions to meds, what is good for one may not agree with another!
That is good she wants to do that test. It is important to lead a normal life as is possible. Best wishes.

My son is MTX a injections too, and while he does have some nausea after his needle, it isn't long lasting and he usually doesn't vomit. Is your daughter taking folic acid? It is thought that may help with nausea between injection times. Hope whaever your daughter is experiencing isn't anything too serious.

Ds was taking 1 mg a day but mouth ulcers kept getting worse.
Had to add more
Doc put him on 2 mg a day now.
This keeps the ulcers mostly today
