Last night I was doing some research on loss of domain. For the last 3 years we haven't known whether or not someone would ever be able to fix my hernia. It is very severe and is the result of a boch test in 2008. I came across a presentation by a world renowned surgeon out of the Cleveland clinic. My hernia fits the criteria if hernias that he would try fixing. I contacted his office today. I convinced the woman on the phone that I'm severe enough to use this surgeon. She is ordering all of my medical surgical medical records, my GI is ordering a CT. The surgeon will look it all over. If he thinks he can help me, I will be flung to Ohio for a consult! In the presentation, he had 3 cases that were similar to mine, at a year post op, they had functioning abdominal walls. I don't think I've ever gone a year post op without a reoccurrence. I am so nervous that he will say he can't fix it. If the best in the world can't fix it, I don't even know what I'm going to do
