Mild Lymphopenia

Sarah latest blood test shown mild lymphopenia, GP thinks its due to the common cold.

Is this something to call the GI about?

Lymphocytes: 17% 0.7 (1.0-4.0)

No, I wouldn't. That's probably within the margin of error for the test. And it's a single test result that fits the current circumstances.

For future reference, the absolute value is more important than the % when looking at the WBC differentials.

Hang in there Mom. The first couple years after diagnosis can be hard, lots of trial and error until things settle down. Keep in mind this is a long haul and you need to keep some energy reserves for future use.

Quick update. Spoke to GI today after faxing blood results from GP.

They want Full Bloods repeated before next Saturday. Will post forms today, and will also repeat liver function which was last done in March.

GI doesnot like the white cell count being 4.0 (4.0-11.0).
