Hi! I am new here, and currently undiagnosed. To make a long story short, I have always had digestive issues my entire life, but they have gotten really bad about 5 yrs ago... prior to this time they were pretty mild, but I was a recreational marijuana user. I had quit using it when I found out I was pregnant, and my digestive issues, which were pretty bad when I was younger but nearly disappeared when I began using marijuana, came back with a vengeance... so bad I sometimes couldn't leave the house! After my son was born and I was no longer breast feeding, I began using marijuana again and the symptoms did not totally disappear, but once again I was nearly normal, and could go out in public again without fear of an embarrassing accident, and I was no longer spending half of my day on the toilet. A few times I had to go without because I cant always afford it, and every single time the symptoms I experience have come back! These include severe bloating, diahrea, gas, passing blood, passing mucus, cramping, feeling like I have to run to the toilet then cant go, and the list goes on! I have a family history of both IBD and colon cancer, and exhibit all of the classic symptoms of Crohn's disease. However when I had a colonoscopy done all tests (Crohn's, several forms of colitis, cancer) came back negative. I was told that there was lots of scar tissue present and a couple of ulcers which appeared to be healing in a few different locations but the cause of this was unknown. I had been using marijuana up until about 1 1/2 to 2 days prior to when these biopsies were taken, and I am wondering... could this have caused a false negative result?
