I try gravol but it makes me sleepy in class - i got the new losenges gravol they help a little - any other suggestions?

Hiya Mark

that burning tongue is the pits! is it like you've burnt it with hot coffee?
I suck mints, it helps.
when you wake up in the morning, before you get out of bed, eat some ginger biscuits, this is what us pregnant ladies eat for morning sickness, it works!
Not that I'm pregnant like!! lol

I agree with Joan, ginger helps calm and settle the stomach. I take ginger supplements, you can buy them in pill form at health food stores. I also sometimes eat pickled ginger, you can buy that at asian supermarkets. And there's always good old ginger ale, although I can't do that myself as carbonation doesn't agree with me.

If you don't like the taste of ginger, you could try peppermint, as that's also calming on the stomach. That also comes in supplement form or you can get peppermint tea. If none of that works for you, I would ask your doctor about what other medication options there are. I take Zofran, which is an anti-nausea pill, and it works well for me and I've had no side effects from it. Good luck, hope you are feeling better soon!

Ah, I hate that horrible fuzzy/dry tongue feeling with Prednisone. Mine seems to be better now that I've dropped from 40mg to 30mg. Try to avoid salty or acidic foods and keep well hydrated. I hope you're feeling better soon :)

hey there!

I take Zofran, they have tablets that dissolve under your tongue and they work really good with nausea. Also, right now I'm pregnant and having a really hard time. I keep some crackers on my night stand and try to chew a couple before I even attempt to get out of bed, it helps out some with that bad nausea.

i hear pepperment is really good for nausea too. Maybe get some mints and try to suck on those?

I hope you feel better soon!!
