Several years ago i read this book and realised that in some cultures adults keep a 'spit bucket' by their bed.

When i wake in the morning these days i scrape my tongue with my teeth and spit it out. Probably 5 scrapes will do it. I rekon the stuff that comes off and out of the mouth would kill a small tree. Laughs.

Worth thinking about.

When i was very very sick with crohns my tongue was coasted with white/yellow and i couldnt get it off....it was horrible.

I see the state of the tongue as a good precursor to overall health and worth thinking about everyone.

I never heard of a spit bucket but have heard of oil pulling (swishing different natural ingredients in the mouth) and spitting. People report all sorts of benefits but who knows.

My tongue is coated now and a tongue scraper doesn't help. I'm still pretty sick but hopefully it will look nice and pink soon ;)

I never knew that the tongue was a general indicator to your health. Makes sense why mine isn't rosy pink!!

Tell me, what is the purpose of the spit bucket?? I can't think why?

:D

my tongue is as pink as a rose today! Has been for a few years....at the peak of ill-health it was coated white for a couple of years.

I dont know why a spit bucket, but to this day i wake in the morning and spit all the crap out of my mouth...scrape my tongue with my teeth and spit it all out, rinse with water and i rekon it has helped me somehow.

i dont know anything about it, i just know I do it and I am well.

yep, nothing like a good morning spit to get the day started! Another thing someone told me, which helped was ;

'what you eat and think today, walks and talks tomorrow.'

I love that one.

Half the battle with crohns is staying cool and not 'giving a ****', get it.

Most people you meet with crohns are so concerned about things, the worries of the world etc...

Happy poo poo ur the best we share a lot of the same views and everyday I'm leaning more towards not giving a ****!!!! Lol

i wish i didnt give a ****.
I am trying not to,

sometimes i feel that i can't 'digest' what is happening around me.
I don't (generally) look around me at the world and think 'yippee',
no....more common is, i look at what people are doing to the world and get grumpy!

while others dont 'give a ****'.

i wish i didnt give a ****.

but i do...

so, what I need to do is learn to not read and engage in the happenings of the world.
