Mri x 2??

Hi,
just wanted to post a question about the MRI scan i have patiently (not) waited for

In the post today arrived two separate appointments, one next Friday, and another a week later. One is for an abdomen and pelvis scan and the next one is for a small bowel study when i have to drink a white watery mix. Do you think i could ask for both to be done at the same time?
I really hated my last MRI, quite freaky, and took forever, dont think my nerves could take two.

You could but perhaps time is the factor here, for them, and that is why they gave you two appointments.

They would have to do the abdo/pelvic first and then you would have drink the contrast over an hour to hour and a half before rescanning again.
I guess there is also the double IV contrast that would be needed. Would this be a problem?? I don't know but no harm in asking if they could be done on the one day.

I was kind of hoping i could drink the stuff, and them scan all areas so that i could get it over and done with in one scan, rather than two.
Any tips on staying calm, i do ok for about 30mins then my mind starts to freak out!
