hi,

I am new here, I have been battling Crohn's for the last 12 years. I was on Asacol 12 tablets a day, then Asacol HD 6 tablets a day, now Lealda 4 Tablets a day.

I have used Mesalamine suppositories.

Whenever I have a flareup my doctor suggests Metronidazole, I am on Metronidazole now, and feeling lousy.

Any ideas on how long to take Metronidazole and how to oversome this yucky feeling in my mouth?

While my first inclination is to say, "Take Metronidazole as long as your doctor says to " you may want to ask how long to take it in our treatment forum as some people there might be able to provide further insight.

Hi mteverest and welcome! I don't have any advice as far as metronidazole, but as David suggested, you may find more answers in the Treatment forum.

How have you been doing on Lialda? That is my current treatment plan, too. What caused the switch over?
