Need help for sore bum

I have severe constipation and am using Miralax. The only problem is that my bum gets so sore. I have used Cortisone Cream but that's not working. I strain to go and when I go, it's usually small amounts. I was going frequently but again, only small amounts. I finally stopped the Miralax to try to get my bum healed up. But of course, the constipation will only get worse and I have a loss of appetite. Any tips? Thanks.

InChristAlone, Where does one find Campho phenique? I know I can get the A&D ointment in the baby section at the store.

Is Calmoseptine sold in the US? Never heard of this.

Does anyone know if I can get the sitz bath supplies at a store here in the US or do I have to get it from a doc?

Campho phenique is found in the pharmacy section of any store in the U.S. It's a small rectangular box with a small bottle inside. It is used to treat cold sores and canker sores. Just be sure to put the A&D on with it cause it will sting a bit, but it sure did heal me up!

Calmoceptine is sold over the counter in speciality pharmacies. You may need to make a few calls before you find it.

Sitz bath any major pharmacy will have. Get the basin to sit in and just get Epsom salt to mix with water.

My butt has been very sore too and my dad who is a pharmacist (not the doctor) recomended Zink Oxide which has helped relieve and heal the soreness. It's an over the counter ointment fro diaper rash.
