Hi. New here, you can read about all the details in My STory. They can not enter small bowel to get a biopsy due to severe inflammation. They have also said I have a stricture. So does that mean I am not a candidate for a pill cam? They have based their diagnosis on CT scan, and colonscopy that would not allow them to enter small bowel. Large bowel looked great. Stomach showed inflammation. Also, does anyone have actual large amounts of swelling in their stomach? I also have a large hernia and the CT scan shows that the affected small intestine is in the hernia sac area. The whole thing seems so messed up. The hard tumour like section is literally the size of a canteloupe. Ct says its an abdominal wall defect and then also states 30cms of highly suspicious mirrial wall thickenikng highly suggestive of IBD. Anyhow, can't help but worry about this giantic ball in my stomach. Not to mention the constant noises it makes.

I am not 100% certain, but if you cannot get a scope through, the pill cam is likely going to cause a blockage, and it sounds like you really don't need that right now. Don't know anything about tumors. Hope everything works out for you!

I agree with shamrock, if a scope can't get through you can risk the pill cam to get stuck and they have to do surgery to get it out. If is shows something with the CT scan the hernia, what are they waiting for? I would think exploratory surgery would help alot. But if the pill cam gets stuck they gotta fish it out anyways. Hope you get answers!
