Another boy in DS' school also has Crohn's and just saw his GI yesterday. His GI said there was a new biologic available now, but his mom didn't remember the name. Does anyone know what she might be talking about? I mentioned Entyvio and Simponi and she said those didn't sound familiar. Maybe that pill one that starts with an M? I wouldn't think it would be available for peds yet though.

???

Could it have been using the drug name instead of brand name like inflixamab instead of remicade for entyvio or simponi?

Also, Stelara maybe though I'm not sure it is approved for pediatric CD either.

Remicade and humira are discussed often but Cimzia rarely is so maybe that?

Stelara or ustekinumab?

Xeljanz (approved only for RA) or Tofacitnib? This is the only pill biologic, as far as I know. And not approved for CD even in adults!

Cimzia or certolizumab?
Entyvio or Vedolizumab?
Simponi or golimumab?

Hmmm...can't think of anything else!
