hi. i am 28 years old .. and i have undergone 2 fistula-ano surgeries till now.. but still the problem keeps on recurring ..

i work currently in night shifts .. for 9 hours.

please can someone tell me. does this problem of fistula-ano increase due to night shift work. And does it increase if you are in a job that involves a lot of sitting on a chair for long periods of time.

i am really afraid as the problem has re-occurred and don't want to undergo any more surgery.

thank you .. looking for some suggestions...

Amar, hi and a big welcome to the forum. Hope you don't mine me moving your post to create your own thread. It might get overlooked at the end of the sticky thread.
I haven't had the type of fistula your suffering from, but I would imagine that sitting and putting pressure on them for long periods could aggravate them.

It could, depending on the conditions of your job. I haven't found that sitting has aggravated my fistulas except after surgery, but I have found that extreme heat does (Don't know why, it just does), or if I don't have regular access to a daily shower (I'm in the army so this is a real issue). The combination of the two is just pure misery.
