Hi My name is Becky. I have had stomach issues for close to 13 yrs. I always thought it was IBS ans dealt with it. The summer of 2006 I started having a lot more issues and pain. I couldnt eat and lost weight. The Dr discovered I have gallstone. My son was just about 1 at this point and heard pregnancy can cause gallstones so thought that was it. Well it did not get better. About 3 wks later the pain was so bad my husband took me to the hospital. After test they thought it might be crohns because the inflammation in the terminal illeum. After 5 horrible days there and upper and lower GI I was sent home a asacal. I was not at all happy with the GI I saw in the hospital. Luckily for me my sister is a nurse practioner and was in a pediactric GI office. She referred me to a great GI. I had another upper and lower and also blood test to confirm. I was put on entocort for a few months but eventually went on remicade. It worked great!! I have been on it for 2 yrs now. I had my second son last august and have been having issues since then. I briefly had joint pain and went on prednisone. I have also been on entocort alone with the remicade. Thanks for letting me share!
