New Treatment for Fissure's

Botox-I kid you not as explained to me by my specialist nurse. Injected directly into the fissure(ouch) It apparently is an extremely good way of sorting it out.
Wrinkle free bums all round then.

Aw I got excited when I read that thread title, but botox has been around for a while for fissures, I was offered it in January. They inject botox into the sphincter muscle either side of the fissure which paralyses and relaxes the muscle eliminating the spasm which is usually the reason fissures dont heal and often recur.

I had this last year. It actually makes a lot of sense! Although when I first heard it, I was like what? cool!!
