Well. I was sat down feeling like crap, as usual, and I thought check my meds for lactose!

Of the 9 different medications I take every day 7 of them contain lactose in some form or another!

These include;
Prednisolone
Citalopram
Codeine phosphate
Warfarin
Cyclizine
Metaclopramide
Amitriptyline

Plus also loperamide in capsule form has lactose in it.

No wonder I feel illall the time. Putting these tablets in me thinking they are doing good when all tthe while they are full of stuff that I am allergic to!
Off to the docs in the morning me thinks.

Lol yes. Lactose is a common excipient drugs. They usually have a warning on the packet somewhere. Like 'Also contains lactose'.

Hey Shazz

Not sure how it works on your end, but in Canada, we have "compounding pharmacies" and I always go to them because they can fill a prescription without using lactose and/or gluten. It took me forever to figure this out! Not sure if you might be able to get your prescriptions filled at a specialized pharmacy?

I was never able to figure out why they never tell us these things. Glad you figured it out as well!
