Maddie has been doing fabulously well. Life is blissfully quiet... Dare I say, we're getting back to the life we had pre-diagnosis. So imagine my surprise when I found an unflushed poop (solid BTW) floating in a halo of red in the master bath this afternoon. WTF?? We have NO symptoms. Her blood work a week ago was picture perfect. What the hell could this be? DH and I chatted a bit and decided to try not to worry unless more symptoms presented themselves...

Then....

I realized she had birthday cake with red fondant yesterday afternoon :lol2: Guess that solves that mystery. I hate having to worry so much!

Yup, I panicked once when I saw red blood clots in Grace's stool........then remembered she ate cherries.:ybatty:

I'm glad she's doing better and I wish I could stay this will be the last time you'll be panicked but I'd be lying.
Enjoy the good times and let worrying wait until another day.

Oh well aware of the "panic" mode luckily most time it turns out to be un crohn's related but I think we all have that hyper vigilance down.

Been there and done that! It was beetroot that got me. Nearly had a heart attack seeing red in the toilet. :)
