Hi everyone, this is just to update you on my op which was on the 5th March so this is my 9th day.

Well apparently the surgeon had to remove the damage from the first resection which in his words were as hard as a rock and it wasn't surprising that I had been in pain but that resulted in losing a part of my colon, small bowel and my large bowel. He actually said the other surgeon had messed up and I have never known a medical person say anything about another medical person but he was apologising for having to remove the part of my colon.I was in ITU for 5 days and I wasn't allowed to be in any pain, the care has been amazing.I would recommend Lincoln Hospital for this type of surgery.

There have been a few blips like the most chronic diorrhea and the loss of weight because of that but they had done samples because they seem to think I have picked up a bug in the hospital. Now I have done the test I am taking codeine phosphate which have slowed things down a bit today.Thank god for the NHS.

I feel fantastic in myself apart from being sore and tired but you get that from any op.I think I will be ready to start the chemo in about 4 weeks if things continue as they are. That will be my biggest battle. Thanks for reading xx
