Ostomy
A poem by Gutless Wonder (written back in the 1990's while I recovering from another surgery)
I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as an ostomy.
A bag whose plastic is securely pressed
Against my abdomen while I get dressed.
An ostomy that works all day,
And doesn't get blocked up, dear God I pray.
An ostomy that in summer will wear,
And not leak, smell, and have people stare.
Upon an ostomate it has lain,
Who doesn't have to live in pain.
Poems are made by Crohnies like me,
But only God can make an ostomy.
:us_flag: proud to say mine was made in the USA!!! (dedicated to all crohnies on this board who have ileostomies & colostomies to save their lives)
