So this is an off topic question, kind of. Are any of your kiddos mosquito magnets?

I was wondering if there is a vitamin deficiency that plays a role in attracting these bugs?!?!?!?

M has always been more vulnerable to these bites. I was surprised, so early in the season, that she was bit up and down her legs while dining outside at a restaurant this w/end.

my non ibd kid is, we always call him mosquito bait. Although Jack's mosquito bites last summer quickly developed into cellulitis.

No that was the first time just tell her not to scratch and keep it clean. We have bactrim now that we put on bug bites. For us it started us on a downhill path as the cellulitis required antibiotics which led to c-diff which led to flare so I'm just hypervigilent about it now but I'm sure that it not par for the course and most mosquito bites amount to nothing.

A is definitely a mosquito magnet! When she was younger her bites would become very inflamed and she'd often develop hives from multiple bites. Now that she is older she doesn't react so strongly.

They love me! Apparently they like certain blood types more. Type O is their favorite, which is my blood type

We are having a dengue out break in KL, it's really bad so I am driving my children mad with sprays and potions. My non IBDer is more prone to bites than Nick.
