I have several other odd symptoms - which may or may not be related to my Crohn's disease, or even the medication I am taking. Is it just me, or do others have similar problems?

1) Terrible insomnia - which may be related to the Pentasa or Lansoprazole - but can't be sure on that one.

2) Intermittent lack of sensation in face, neck and arms - skin feels numb and unresponsive - with dulled pain response.

3) Twitching Eyelid - which is kind of driving me bonkers at the moment - only on one side at least!

I am not sure about the first two symptoms, but I know twitching eyelids can be from lack of sleep (probably due to your insomnia) or stress.

Not a big deal, usually. My mom's eyelid started twitching due to major stress from her job. She ignored it for several years and it got so bad she could abrely keep her eye open from the twitching. She had to get botox injections to relax the muscle (this was before botox went super popular). She finally got out of that job and into one she loves and the twitching has gone away. But, definitely don't ignore the source.

Hopefully others will have some suggestions for the other 2 symptoms! :)

Hi Tony - I don't have much input other than that any numbness or lack of sensation in any part of your body would, IMO, warrant a phone call to the doc.

Hope it all turns out to be nothing serious - Amy

PS I agree with Marisa about the twitching - stress or fatigue is usually the culprit there.

I think that might be my problem. I've had problems with my toenails, since I can remember. Mine were flaky also, and discolored. I had to have my left great toenail removed because of numerous ingrown nails.

Tony, whenever I start to twitch, I know it's time for a B12 shot. I also have terrible insomnia, but it most of my similarly menopausal friends do as well, and I doubt that's your problem. lol

troydanielbecker the appearance of hair and fingernails/ toenails is greatly affected by the lack of certain vitamins perhaps b12? I would show the doc next visit.
