Does anyone have any advice about Methotrexate causing leg pain? My son who's 10 has been on injections for 8 weeksand is experiencing pain when he walks and (especially) runs. I myself have noticed he s walking "funny". It's not really where he has the shots, more an inner pain?

My almost 13 year old son has been taking Methotrexte for three months now. He takes them every Friday about 4:00pm. At first he did them in the arms till I convinced to do the legs, which he now likes much better. The injection itself if painful at first but he gets over it within thirty minutes or so.

His body sometimes feels achy and his legs and joints hurt. What I do is take him to a chiropractor to get adjusted on Mondays. That seems to help.

Tracypoppins - How's his inflammation markers? I'm sure you probably know arthritis is an extraintestinal manifestation of Crohn's. Might be some flaring in his joints? Is he worse in the morning? Is he stiff?

Hugs,

J.
