Hi fellow IBD peeps,

I just joined this group--- glad it exists. I was Dx'd with lymphocytic colitis in 2012. Entocort helped (but I was out of remission 4 mos after discontinuing it). My IBD GI thought I was presenting like Crohn's. My upper endoscopy and MRE (pelvis/abdomen) didn't reveal much, my colonoscopy revealed LC/ inflammation. I have celiac and avoid gluten/dairy/soy. I had C.Diff this past May, my recent tests have been negative for it. My GI thought it would be helpful to do a capsule study to take a better look at my small intestine. I did that this past Wed. Did anyone find it helpful doing a pill capsule study to diagnose crohn's?

I'm beyond ready to feel better and hoping above and beyond everything that the capsule study will prove informative for treating me.

Thanks for your time & support!

Yes I did I found that that is were I was bleeding that was the last test they did. Then I had a colonscopy the 2nd one and they did a biosey for Crohn's came back that I had it. They said that it looked like Crohn's in the small pill cam but needed to do the boisey to confirm.

Good Luck!!

As I don't have a colon, therefore no routine colonoscopy, this is how my GI likes to verify if my disease is remaining in remission. It helps, It allowed to determine I had upper GI manifestation of CD a few years back. Even though the prep is long an annoying, that test is at the least easily done.
