I have had this weird thing happening lately. I normally only wash my hair every other day as it is usually very dry. But for the past couple of months if I have had to wash it every day because in the morning it is very greasy and looks as if I haven't washed it in a week. I have even had to quit using conditioner. I have been on pred many many times before and it never did this. I also had surgery in may could this be why??? I am stumped. Any Ideas?

Oh yes get the night sweats terrible also lately as soon as I walk outside or do anything semi strenuous I start sweating like a whore in church (pardon the pun) and I mean pouring like have to get a towel and wipe myself off. Just been trying to stay in the air as much as possible. Just started back to work on Monday. I work in the kitchen at the high school part time and there is no air. It isn't really anything strenuous just fill up the condiments, forks, napkins and stuff like that and run the register but man on the moon the way I have been sweating you think I was running a marathon.

Well make sure you get plenty of fluids inside you Dusty or you'll keel over!

Gatoraide contains a lot of sodium/salt which will cause more water retention, something you don't need while on Pred not to mention the unneeded sugar. I'd switch to just water as sports drinks and the like are really meant for people who are doing strenuous workouts and the amount of extra things added that you might need such as electrolytes depends on the duration and intensity of your workout. Sports drinks and stuff like Pedialyte are also good when you're extremely dehydrated (as in should be in the hospital dehydrated). Generally I don't believe its meant to be drank on a regular basis in replacement of water unless you're dealing with the two issues above (extreme workouts or extreme dehydration).

Chances are your night sweats are what's causing your hair to need to be washed daily.

the problem is I am sweating like i am doing extreme workouts even though I am not. Just afraid of the dehydration.
