Prednisone side effects

I have been dealing with severe UC since I was 20 (now 25), and had the three-part ilio anal anastamosis to reverse the disease-final surgery about three years ago. However, my doctors made my j-pouch 'too small' and now I have chronic pouchitis (so basically I still have UC and all the fun symptoms). I only stay in remission because of the Entyvio biologic, however, I just moved cities and it took 10,000 years to get into my new doctor and I just got my first infusion after 5 months off of it. I am completely out of remission and after the first infusion I was having severe UC symptoms so my doctor put me on prednisone PRN. I have only been taking 10-20mg for 4 days and I can feel/see myself getting moon face again. I haven't been on prednisone in probably four years or so, but I don't remember the side effects happening this fast. Is this normal?

Anyone have any tips on how to make moon face go away faster and or know why the effects are happening so fast?

Yes seems very fast and especially 10-20mg is not a very high dose..
Are you sure it's not just an impression?

The moonface should disapear as quickly it appears i guess, so when you'll stop prednisone.

I think the moon face is caused by water retention. You could try cutting back on salt. It seemed to help me when I was on Prednisone recently.
