I was on Entocort for almost a month and had little improvement, and last thursday I started prednisone and feel even worse than I did on the entocort. I talked with a pharmacist and he said that if prednisone isn't working within 7 days, it probably isn't going to. I'm having diarrhea, low grade fevers, extreme fatigue and tons of gas. My pharmacy had the 5mg pills instead of the 10mgs, so i'm taking 8 5mg's a day instead of 4 10mg's. Could that effect the medication outcome?

It's a tough drug on the body but it should help pretty quickly. I agree with the pharmacist that you should feel a difference within a week but I don't agree that it won't work beyond that if it doesn't at first. It acts fast but takes longer for some people.
