Hello
My name is scott and i have a friend with crohns and psc.
i have a question about the pain she goes threw when ever she eats
is there anything one can take pre eating that will maybe help lesson or numb the pain that will certainly follow ??
I know the obvious thing is to watch what you eat but any more these days it seems that everything she eats will set it off just takes longer for some than others.
thanx for any info you can provide also if anyone has any info or a good site for psc or for an enlarged liver i would so appreciate it thanx again...

There is not much she can take, sometimes things like lomotil can help slow cramps. Some people find marijuana helpful for eating. A heating pad can help. It sounds like the crohns is not under control. She should see her doctor and change her medications.

Her liver issues may make it difficult to take certain medications.

I find taking an antispasmodic about 20 mins before I eat helps a lot with the cramping. It depends what's causing the pain though I believe.
