Question about BMs

I am supposed to call my GI's office tomorrow and check in with the nurse to let her know how I am doing. He wants to put me on mesalamine once the prednisone calms down my symptoms. The diarrhea has been calming down, but today I had 7 BMs. They were not loose, but much more frequent than they have been. My question is, do you think it is worth mentioning the increased frequency of BMs to the nurse tomorrow when I call, or not bother since they were not loose?

7 BMs is still a lot more than normal. I think it would be worth at least mentioning to the nurse

You still should mention it because it's a change from what's normal for you and 7 times is still not normal.

I think you should mention it to the nurse. Most of the time, when I visit my GI, they ask me how many BMs I am having.

Thanks for the input! I really appreciate having all of you to ask questions. I'm back up to 40 mg of pred for a few more days, hopefully that will get things calmed down a bit more.
