Hello everyone
I am new to the group. I have crohns for 20 yrs and on remicade. I have had many extraintestinal issues including lung inflammation and scarring, erythema nodosum, uritis, oral inflammation. A ,few weeks ago i had a large lump appear on my tongue. Dr sent me to an ent for a biopsy which showed verrucoid features and a lot of inflammation. It was sent to a consultant to rule out verrucous carcinoma. Consultant, who specializes in dermatology said this second biopsy(they wanted more tissue) was not worrisome as the first and there is no sign of malignancy. The troubling part was he said perinuclear clearing kerathalin scattered granules consistent with hpv. My question is has anyone had a similar issue? Oral hpv is highly unlikely. It didnt go to an oral pathologist and surgeon just shrugged it off and said i was all set no need to follow up. A positive hpv test may affect my wanting to stay on remicade until it goes away. The lump didnt look like a wart. It looked more like normal tongue.
Any thoughts are appreciated
Thanks!

There is a great section in here called Extra Intestinal Manifestations in the forum. They might be able to help you there.
