Gm,
Gonna make this story short. I've crohn'for 17yrs. Anyway I'm in the hospital right now been here for 3 days now. Taking lots of steroids though IV right now.

The reason I'm in here bad pain on my right side just pain. Has anybody experience that before. No throwing up, no blood nothing but pain on the right side. Doc said my white cell count was very high.

Many of us have, unfortunately there can be many causes, from just bad gas to blockages and strictures. They should do some scans to see what's going on inside.

So here is the thing...you would not be experiencing pain for nothing nor would you have an elevated WBC count. Was the CT scan with or without contrast? Sometimes issues are more visable after some of the inflammation goes down. Did they do an ultrasound? An ultrasound can look for issues with your gall bladder, appendix, and diverticulitis, all of which can cause pain and elevated WBC count.

I had a strange issue similar to this, but with such intense pain that the doctor could barely touch the skin outside (this was on my left side, tho, not the right). Turns out it was a rare condition called epiploic appendigitis...no, not appendicitis, appendigitis. It is basically a fat deposit (appendage) on the outside of the intestinal wall that becomes infected and inflammed. I was treated with IV antibiotics and fluids for a few days until the pain subsided. It then recurred a year later. That time, we skipped the antibiotics and it eventually went away on its own.

Hope maybe this helps you come closer to figuring out your mystery. Whatever the case you should feel better soon!

Ct scan was done with contrast. Just laying here waiting all day until I get release. Thank you very much

There is good evidence that intracellular bacteria play a big role in Crohn's. As someone who has experienced severe "stabbing" pain in my right side, I believe this pain is caused by a bacterial infection. The bacteria disrupt the normal gut mucosa, increasing gut permeability, and cause a whole lot of inflammation.
