question time!!

hiya everyone,
ive got a question for you all...ive had UC for 12 yrs which has devolped into crohns in the past 2 yrs since having my flareup for the past 2 yrs which hasnt settled, ive had really achey joints and really weird sore eyes which i seem to strain my eyes when concentrating on things....has anyone had or got similiar things happening with them?
ive was told to have my eyes tested as im also on tyroxine and nothing major has happened with them so unsure to as why both my eyes are joints kill me as well as my illness its a nightmare!!!:frown:

Hi lollypop,

What you are describing sounds classic of the Extra Intestinal Manifestations (EIM's) of IBD. They tend to affect those that have large bowel disease more than those with small bowel only so you fit there as well. Have a look at the EIM forum...

You will find many members here suffer with EIM's when flaring, , but they should resolve when you hit on the treatment and get into remission. Good luck!
