Hi there,
I injected myself for 4 months with Methotrexate, but went to my G. P. every fortnight to have bloods taken. I was being monitored regularly in case of problems : liver and kidneys. I would be surprised if you were to inject yourself with Infliximab!!!! I go into a ward , for 4 hours, to go on a drip, or infusion of Infliximab. It is a slow process. This will be 8 weekly visits. They have to monitor you for adverse side~effects, on the ward.

Remicade is only available as an infusion done at an infusion center through IV. Are you sure your doctor didn't prescribe Humira or Cimzia? Those you can inject on your own.

It needs to be given under medical supervision. I believe you could arrange a home nurse to administer the IV but am fairly certain there is no self-injection available.

Mmmmm maybe I got the wrong end of the stick. I had to have a chest xray to check for tb or whatever today. Im going back to the hospital soon to start the new treatment wonder what gona happen?
