I've been on these meds for nearly 4 weeks, and i'm just realising that I may be taking them incorrectly.

The doctor told me to take 1 x 3mg tablets three times per day, one at a time then. I've just noticed that others take all 3 in the morning?

Anyone shed any light on this for me...

Thanks again

When I have taken it I took all 3 at once but I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with splitting the dose through the day.

I took the three tablets separately, morning, mid-day and night, one at a time. That's how I was told to take them.

phone the pharmacist or the doctors and double check
there is more than one type/version of entocort (CR) (EC) so i guess it depends which one your on .

I believe it is recommended to take 1 pill 3 times a day. My Doc told me it's just fine to take them all at once if it meant better compliance with taking it.

They know we all hate to take pills too many times in a day. That's why they've come up with so many meds that can be taken only once.

In fact, my GI Doc was in on the original trials for several of the new meds, and recommended even 1 injection every 2weeks instead of pills multiple times per day. People are just more likely to follow through.

This can't work with the efficacy of all drugs obviously, but when they can, it is preferred.

I spoke to the doctor and he said the reason I was advised to spread the dosage throughout the day was to lessen the side effects. 5 weeks so far and i'd say they're working about 50%?
