This is gonna sound odd, even more if you never took these antibiotics. But I need to ask if I am the only crazy around lol...

So, I am taking cipro and flagyl at the moment. It is not a new fact, everything taste like like sh*t when you are taking flagyl and it seems like you spend your life chewing tylenol and grapefruit skin all together 24 hours a day which is super! We all could tell (if you can't, you are lucky!).

But now I have noticed something else and I wonder if I'm the only one...
[yes, it's true, I do have a natural hyper olfactory sensitivity, like, I can tell that I receive a saline injection vs a non saline injection from the taste I get and I smell things before anyone else usually (like I am a portative smoke detector...).

But I have notice something, odd, very odd and I guess it all comes from the antibiotics...
It's been over a week that every human being I meet has the same weird breath smell (but me I guess I don't have a breath anymore, since bacteria all ran off the cliff like lemmings when they saw the first metronidazole pill coming... !!! :ybatty: I really doubt they all passed each other the secret of the antiseptic smell breath so yeah... It's weird. So if ever that happened to you before, let me know, I will stop feeling like i'm not some sort of hypersensory alien.

Thx for reading.

Lol, PJ! I've been on that delightful combo a couple of times and had the weird taste in my mouth and - how can I explain - just a similar weirdish smell in my nose. Don't think I noticed them on others' breath tho. Then again, nothing surprises me with the disease and the accompanying drugs.
Are they working for you?

Working... working..., maybe?
I had like what, 3-4 ? enterocutaneous fistula opening at the same time around Halloween (life is awesome sometimes right?) and now they seem to be closing one after the other. It's quite odd, but it does work great while I'm on them... I took the antibios in september for 10 days cause I had 1 fistula, it was almost closing but then it came back after 2 months. Now I have them for 3 weeks + cipro 3 months I believe. So far so good. I also had a fistula in april 2010 which closed with the antibios. I'll cross my finger and hope everything will work fine this time cause right now I feel like a boosted calf!

There is oneeeee great thing about that antibio combo, you can go to Cuba [or insert tropical destination of your choice] and eat the buffet without getting the "tourista" like everyone else.

Not yet, they are trying to keep the humira working... They realize I was a perfect candidate for bi-therapy. Hopefully its not too late. I know I built some antibodies, they are even suspecting induce lupus. So they started the methotrexate this month and I hope that humira will do its wonder again. Hopefully it will! Otherwise I'll try the Remicade.
