Speaking of new drugs (altho this may be old news to some of you, under some other brand name perhaps) did anyone see the info from the Mayo Clinic about certolizumab pego therapy? It's another TNF blocker they just tested.
Their stance? It's another alternative to those with IBD who've stopped responding to other forms of treatment. And, the dosing regimen is more patient friendly (whatever that means - it could mean fewer side effects, or a less strict delivery method required - i'm just guessing, they didn't say)
So, is this old news, new news, or just one of those... I wish they'd told us enuff to know whether it's worth getting excited over or not sort of things?
