Hi everyone...

Hope you aren't getting sick of me yet?..lol. I am having a really rough time today. Slept poorly lastnight d/t pain and repeated night sweats....oh..and my 2 year old got up at 5am...(I think he heard me getting up to the BR). Anyways....called into work..(which I hate doing). I just knew that I couldn't do it today...between the belly pain, fatigue, fever, etc. Luckily, I have applied for intermittent FMLA...it's still awaiting approval..not sure what's taking so long??? I feel horrible when I have to call in but I didn't feel I would be worth anything at work. Sometimes they just have "that tone" when you call in.

Cooper and I laid down for a nap this morning...woke up with all the same sx...except the addition of really bad pain on the left side of my back/top of my butt area. It's a lot worse when I go to bend or lift...or walk. It feels almost exactly like it did when I had SI joint problems when I was pregnant. So..not sure if this is the SI joint problem that people with Crohn's get? Most of my belly pain is always on the right and this back thing is on the left...I suppose it wouldn't matter?? Does this sound like it could be r/t crohn's?

Things simmered for so long...now I feel like I am suddenly being hit by a truck. My next GI appt is on the 23rd...we are going to discuss the repeat scope at that time. Today is my last day of my prednisone taper. She wants to wait at least 6 weeks to do the repeat scope...not sure I can wait that long if this stuff keeps up! I've never had so many night sweat episodes in one night....I'd wake up drenched...then shiver, fall back to sleep only to wake up to the same thing all over again. My temp today has been hovering around 100.5.....even with fever reducers.

Ok...sorry for babbling once again. It helps to type it out though..lol.

Wow thats one hell of a night. I'm sorry about all the problems but I would call your doctor if this persists longer and ask to see him/her immediately and explain your situation. i hope you start improving and can get some sleep because sleep will only help. Also make sure you keep hydrated with lots and lots of water bcause your probably losing a lot. Good luck and get better soon!

hiya

I had these symptoms 2 months ago, excruciating pain, like childbirth in my back on right side and front too, projectile vomiting, soaking wet with sweat, I couldn't move, can't exagerate enough
My GP came to visit me at home, and immediately phoned an ambulance, I was blocked, and it was infected, my temp went thro the roof, and my CRP was 261.
stayed in for a week and responded to metronizodole and hydrocortisone. If you start vomiting, phone the doc or get to A&E
hope you are ok, sorry if I've frightened you in any way, but I didn't know then what I know now, that you can become blocked and it can get infected (peritonitis, I think they said?)
take care
Joan xx

Really sorry to hear that horseluvnhonee. I go through the same thing with my SI joints. It's horrific.

Do not hesitate to mention it to your doctor. Pains in that area could any of a number of things.

You poor thing!!! I sure hope you feel better!!! Make sure you drink lots of water thru this just in case it is a kidney infection and of couse so you don't get dehydrated. I was curious about the SI joint problem you guys are speaking about. What are the symptoms?

Oh, I meant to add this. I too am on FMLA and STD, and it is what has kept my job thru flare-ups, those plain crudy days, and surgery. It took about a week to get approved and helps if your doc sent in med records to support your symptoms. They generally give you a bucket of hours to use depending on the timeframe you have been with the company and each year you have to reapply. Good Luck!!!
