Hi Girls,

Having been in remission for 9 years now, i have not been so well in the last month or so, so i am currently waiting to see a Gastro doc, having been referred by my gp.

I have so many different symptoms to when i was initially diagnosed, that i am starting to panic that it is not my crohns, but something a lot scarier.

So far in the last 9 months or so, i have lost my appetite and therefore lost a lot of weight, but only in the last 2 months i have developed left sided low pelvic/abdomen pains, bloated hard tummy, really constipated, pain and pressure in bottom area and last night sex was painful in certain positions and my husband (of 12 years) was really upset that he was hurting me. It was all on my left side and then i got really upset after because i don't know what is happening.

Any advice??????

I was only dx'd with Crohn's a month ago but suspect I have had it for 20+ years. That being said, I have had the exact same issues you are having now many, many times over the years. The pain was just like you say and during sex it is the same for me...certain positions felt like I was going to die....I am looking back and thinking that the times it was like that for me andmy husband over the years it was during flare ups. It was always very upsetting for both of us...now that we now and look back it is less upsetting. I know I don't have medical answers for you but I know that I have been checked for every possible gyno issue there could be over the years for the issue and nothing was ever wrong at all. I hope just knowing you are not the only one to feel that helps at least a little bit....

I had alot of the same things going on, painful intercourse, pain that wasn't due to crohns, among others. Turns out, I have a tumor on my ovary. and on that tumor, I have ANOTHER mass called a teratoma. You should get a pelvic unltrasound to see if anything is going on down there. Good luck

Hi Samantha,

What kind of tumour is on your ovary? and what is a teratoma? Are you being treated for these?

I too am worried that it is somehting Gynaecological rather than the Crohns, but i suppose i wont know until i have a colonoscopy.

Take care,
Rochelle xx
