Referred abdominal pain

does anyone here experience referred pain when you press on right side and its painful on the left? When I press in a specific spot on my right side it hurts but my lower left side hurts worse. I hear about the opposite happening but not right to left.

Yes, before my recent bowel resection, i had pain and cramps on the left side, but the affected area was actually on the right side (where the end of the small bowel is). The surgeon said that other than the terminal ileum area, the rest of my bowel was clear of Crohns. Since my surgery, i don't feel it anymore as the affected area on the right was removed.

Pain on the right side referred to the left upon pressing is common in appendicitis, so I see no reason why it couldn't be common in IBD as well.

Pain on the left side while pressing on the right side is referred pain ? I sometimes had this. Believe that was irrelevant and in my mind.
