Remicade approval

Hi everyone just wondering how long everyone had to wait before getting approved and starting remicade? I've been waiting six weeks, I talked to my GI and he said he will contact me when I've been approved. Btw I'm in Australia and wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience

Hi Elg95,

My son is on Humira and the approval process is the same. The GI said it would take about three weeks and it was exactly that.

I would give the GI's rooms a ring and enquire about the progress of the approval.

It really depends on your insurance. I have been waiting for about a month now because of mistakes they have made in the appeal process. It can help to call your insurance and your GI to make sure they are on the same page.
