Remicade/humira question

I have read on here that people taking remicade have to take folic acid supplement? I think it was remicade. But does this also apply to humira?

My son has to take folic acid with methotrexate because it is a anti folic agonist. I've never heard it is needed for the biologics.

I have to take it and I am on Humira; still new to why I take certain meds with other meds. Still trying to figure it all out...

There should always be vitamin panels ran for those with CD since there can be malabsoprtion issues, especially with small bowel disease.

Definitely watch your test results after a blood draw. My folic acid is ok after 8 months on double-dose Humira.

I have been taking Remicade for 3 years and stopped taking Folic Acid when I started Remicade. I did take Folic Acid for many years prior to starting Remicade. I would ask your GI Dr.
