I appreciate the feedback from an earlier post I wrote about being overweight with Crohns. It is hard for me to reach out for help, as I am much better at giving. lol. I do realize that to be a great giver, you need to also be a gracious recieve.
So..... I am reaching out.
I have been on Remicade for 1 year now every 8 weeks and it has definately helped my crohns tremendously! The problem I am having is a constant sinus, upper-respitory infection or "throat mucus".( I also have asthma) I just got over pneumonia and have had to postpone my infusion now twice. Now I am between a rock and a hard place because I seem to catch anything and everything going around this winter. I have always been healthy-minded and proactive with my crohns and health in general. Fatigued, sinus stuff, upper-respitory and crohns symptoms all at once. I feel like I am in a boxing ring-getting punched left and right and there is NO saving bell!!! I guess I am feeling very alone and beat up. Any natural remedies or advice on this will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Humor is...of course.... always welcome with me too;)

Yeah it is a bad/good year for bugs. There are many on the move, and many seem to be a little bit more annoying. So, regardless of Crohn's etc. we all seem to be in the mood for suffering.

Just looking at some of your comments : constant sinus issue throat mucus - while this sounds very common at the moment considering your medication, it may be that you are at an increased vulnerability. If you have not recently had bloods drawn, it wouldn't harm any to make sure your vulnerability doesn't arise from issues with your blood. Secondly you mention you had pneumonia - was this bacterial/did they give you antibiotics. If so this can make you more vulnerable to issues such as yeast infections in the air passages and mouth. It can also impact on your bodies defences - some antibiotics deplete vitamins etc. Fresh fruit/ vitamin C etc can help.

When I am miserable - hot whisky with honey, lemon, and sugar - beside a nice warm fire. I was delighted when I heard a flu specialist agree with me and prescribe it on the radio.

I was trying to think of something humorous to say... A horse went into a bar, and the barman said "why such a long face?" It has the quality of humour, but lacks the qualities of originality and novelty.

Too weird... I just got this reply... 2 years later!!! Thanks for the info and whiskey recipe. Lol. I wound up having sinus surgery. It has been much better. I still catch bugs more than most people but it has gotten MUCH better. Hope all is well with you!😀
